Influencer Marketing Manager

Job Summary

Amplify is looking for a dynamic and entrepreneurial-minded individual to help us scale our growing influencer marketing department.

As Influencer Marketing Manager, you’ll be responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing influencer campaigns across exciting industries like music, content creation, outdoors, and gaming. You will nurture relationships with key talent, and ensure these partnerships drive meaningful results for our clients. This includes negotiating sponsorship and affiliate marketing deals, crafting co-marketing programs and directing content creation for these partnerships.

The ideal candidate is a people person that enjoys making new connections, is an expert in influencer marketing and PR, and feels a rush when a job is done exceptionally well. You are organized, have excellent follow-through, and will enjoy building something from the ground up at an agency that’s breaking the mold.

This is a work-from-home position, and requires the candidate to be a self-starter who can juggle multiple tasks at once, lead projects independently without a lot of direction and work harmoniously with a variety of people and personalities. You will also demonstrate the ability to coordinate with clients, partners and the rest of our organization at a variety of levels and across functions to ensure successful campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Own the planning and execution of influencer marketing and PR initiatives. 
  • Identify and evaluate new influencer talent. 
  • Manage negotiations and ensure timely execution of talent contracts and payments. 
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with influencers and creators. 
  • Manage influencer activations end to end, including pitch meetings, rate negotiations and contracting, building creative briefs, managing content review/approvals process, and campaign reporting. 
  • Oversee the budget associated with influencer marketing campaigns and projects, ensuring maximum use and efficiency. 
  • Work closely with Influencers to ensure all contracted deliverables are submitted correctly and on time. 
  • Manage the planning and execution of product launches, campaigns and other brand initiatives with influencers. 
  • Assist with the ideation, planning and execution of photo and video shoots. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teammates to leverage influencer relationships to support social media, content marketing and digital advertising. 
  • Develop measurement framework to help evaluate potential influencer partnerships and to evaluate performance of current influencer portfolio. 
  • Standardize influencer marketing metrics, sharing and reporting on KPIs, and evangelizing them with clients. 
  • Track cultural trends and nuance across key markets and leverage those insights to inform local influencer portfolio and activation strategy. 
  • Partner with Amplify leadership to develop long-term strategies for building a portfolio of influencers across key verticals (music, consumer tech, outdoors, content creation, gaming, etc.)

Skills

  • A self-starter that acts like an owner. You’re self-motivated, highly proactive and demonstrate an ability to work autonomously, anticipating the needs of the team and the influencers.
  • A people person who is able to build and maintain relationships that are both friendly and allow for a mutually beneficial relationship that lasts.
  • Proven influencer marketing guru—you’ve built successful programs before and have a strong track record working with talent, influencers, and creators.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Sound commercial judgement and decision-making expertise.
  • Negotiation and commercial deal structuring capabilities.
  • Analytical understanding of data and methodologies used to inform decision making that drives performance.
  • Ability to multi-task and continually oversee a portfolio of active and prospective relationships at varying maturity levels.
  • Capable of dynamically navigating a diverse set of stakeholders.
  • Critical-thinker and problem-solver.

Experience

  • 6+ years’ experience
  • Proven track record collaborating with talent, influencers, and creators
  • Established networks within music, consumer tech, outdoors, content creation, gaming
  • Previous brand and/or agency experience
  • Experience as an influencer yourself (nice to have)

What You’ll Do Here

  • You’ll report to the Head of Creative
  • You’ll be the source of truth on all things Influencer Marketing
  • You’ll oversee the contributions of other team members, inspiring them to do their best work
  • You’ll be able to measure, understand, and communicate how all influencer campaigns are performing and driving impact for the business
  • You’ll develop multiple influencer campaigns that support the client’s business objectives
  • You’ll have big goals and a clear vision for achievement. With that, you’ll have the the ability to think creatively and strategically to make those visions and goals a reality
