CHALLENGE

For Maroon 5 and producer/engineer Noah Passavoy, making a record means sending session files between home studios, tour buses, and historic recording studios around the world. Ahead of their 2017 release, Red Pill Blues, Maroon 5 streamlined their production workflow by using Pro Tools Cloud Collaboration. From home and pro recording studios across multiple time zones, the band composed a new instrumental track in one shared session.

SOLUTION

To help Avid tell the story, Amplify produced a three-part video series and documentary-style photography for the Avid Blog and Avid’s social media platforms. We traveled to Conway Studios in Los Angeles and worked with the band in their home studios to capture their collaborative workflow in action. As a result, Maroon 5: Powered by Pro Tools was one of Avid’s most watched video series of 2017 with over 25,000 views.
